Torque FAQ
Wiha Tools’ Torque products include a certification of calibration, which
proves your tool is properly calibrated, and therefor operational.
A torque tool must be stored in a safe, dry, and temperature regulated
environment. An adjustable mechanical torque tool should be set at it’s
lowest value when stored.
Wiha Tools Torque products are designed with tightening in mind, and
are not advised to be used as accurate loosening tools.
Torque tools are highly sensitive devices, and the addition of external
leverage risks distorting torque values. This action is considered abuse,
and voids the product’s warranty.
In line with standard ISO 6789-1, torque tools must be calibrated at the
time of manufacture, then every year or every 5,000 cycles.
